In July 2023, I participated as a volunteer teacher in the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies educational program in Armenia. During the month, the centre hosted over 100 educational laboratories under the general name AltJuly. Product photography is the name of my workshop, where students got acquainted with the shooting of objects, and at the end, our group made an online exhibition.

В течении месяца в центре проходило более 100 образовательных лабораторий под общим названием AltJuly. Camera settings
The first day is the day of acquaintance with the group through the game form. On this day, at a lecture with students, they dismantled the device of a digital camera, got acquainted with the camera's basic settings, and considered the types of lenses. We learned how to store files and work with Lightroom.

Studio light
At the lecture, they got acquainted with the types of light, with the device of a studio flash and analyzed the schemes of light using examples. At a practical lesson in the studio, we worked with lighting schemes and studied the general organization of work in the studio.
На лекции познакомились с видами света, с устройством студийной вспышки, на примерах разобрали схемы света. На практическом занятии в студии работали со световыми схемами, изучили общую организацию работы в студии.

On this day, the students met with Mariam Shahinyan, an item designer at TUMO Studios. At the meeting, Mariam told how TUMO Studios works and how things are created inside the space. Then, at the lecture, they studied composition techniques, programs for compiling references and how to work with them.

Form creation
On this day, students visited the Library for architecture project - an educational platform, an open library and a workshop. The project team gave a tour of the space and taught the students how to work in the model workshop, which created various foam moulds for further shooting.
В этот день студенты посетили проект Library for architecture — образовательная платформа, открытая библиотека и мастерская. Команда проекта провела экскурсию по пространству и научила студентов работать в модельной мастерской, в которой были созданы различные формы из пенопласта для дальнейших съемок.

They were working in the studio on a series of images for jewellery from TUMO Studios. On this day, students created compositions with props in the frame.

Work on the exhibition
With the help of the Miro program, together with the students, we developed the concept and hanging of the exhibition. Then all the resulting shots were placed in the Spatial.io space.

Tour of the exhibition
The last day of the workshop was devoted to the presentation of projects. We held an open tour of our virtual exhibition at the TUMO Centre. The students talked about our stages of work and the results. Now any viewer can visit the exhibition at the link.
